What makes fans so passionate to an extent of viewing soccer as a "religion" ?

Soccer is new to me and I am learning a lot through this blog and this world cup season. However, I still wonder what makes people so passionate about soccer?

The World Cup in the mind of a student!

While visiting Nairobi two weeks ago, I learnt that students at Thika Primary School for the Blind love soccer very much. Everytime I went into the computer lab there was always a student reading articles on Soccer on the internet...The students are well informed and very competitive especially because World Cup is around the corner. I thought this is a good opportunity for us to provide a platform for the students to share their views with the world.

Many people ask how do the blind or the visually impaired people relate to soccer?

We endeavor to empower blind and visually impaired people throughout Africa, by giving them access to educational resources including technology which will enable them to use their knowledge and skills to positively impact their lives and their communities.
